What is the difference between honed filled travertine and unfilled travertine?  Unfilled is the natural version of the stone.  It will be characterized by pits and holes on the surface and sides of the tile. creating a rustic look.   A filled tile will be filled by resin at the factory and appear more smooth and uniform.  When you grout the unfilled tile, the grout color will fill the holes so choose your color wisely.
